Copper Parrot Spout
Monitor Your Spirit Strength in Real Time
A Copper Parrot Spout is one of the most useful accessories for spirit distillers, allowing you to continuously monitor the alcohol percentage of your distillate throughout the distillation run.
As the spirit leaves the condenser, it flows directly into the parrot chamber where an alcoholmeter (not included) floats in the liquid. This provides a real-time reading of the alcohol strength, helping you identify the transition between heads, hearts and tails without the need to constantly collect and test separate samples.
For anyone making spirits, brandy or gin, a parrot spout provides greater confidence and control during distillation.
How It Works
The distillate flows from the condenser into the parrot chamber, where an alcoholmeter is placed. As the alcohol content changes throughout the run, the alcoholmeter rises or falls accordingly, providing a continuous indication of the spirit’s strength.
This allows the distiller to monitor alcohol percentage as the spirit is being collected and make more informed decisions about cuts and collection points.
Features
• Provides continuous alcohol strength readings during distillation
• Assists with identifying heads, hearts and tails
• Reduces the need for repeated sampling
• Handcrafted from copper to complement traditional alembic stills
• Includes three interchangeable couplings to suit different alembic models
Compatibility
The Copper Parrot Spout includes three separate couplings with different connection diameters, allowing it to be fitted to a range of traditional alembic stills.
Please note that this accessory is best suited to larger alembic stills where distillation volumes are sufficient to provide accurate and consistent readings.
Please Note
Alcoholmeter not included.
